Europe's iOS Dance Game Trends in Q1 2024: A Sensor Tower Analysis

The first quarter of 2024 has seen an interesting shuffle in the performance of dance game applications on the iOS platform across Europe. Sensor Tower's comprehensive analysis offers us a glimpse into how these apps have fared.

Just Dance Now, published by Ubisoft, started strong with over 22K downloads in the first week, but saw a gradual decline to around 9K downloads by the end of the quarter. Revenue trends followed a similar pattern, beginning at approximately $10K and dipping to around $7K. Weekly active users also saw a drop from 39K to 20K.

Coco Play's Ice Skating Ballerina also experienced a decrease in downloads, starting at 6K and ending the quarter with close to 4K. Revenue remained relatively stable, fluctuating slightly around the $400 mark. Weekly active users started at 13K and exhibited a slight decline to just over 11K.

Another Coco Play title, Dance Clash: Ballet vs Hip Hop, showed a more stable trend in downloads, hovering around 3K-4K throughout the quarter. Revenue saw a peak at $193 in late February but ended the period at $119. Notably, weekly active users showed an upward trend, starting at approximately 8K and rising to 8K.

Coco Play's Acrobat Star Show had more modest numbers, with downloads ranging from 1K to 2K. Interestingly, revenue hit zero by the end of March, which shifts the focus to its weekly active users that climbed from 2K to over 2K.

Lastly, Hip Hop Battle - Girls vs Boys, yet another Coco Play creation, started the quarter with a low at 617 downloads but surged to nearly 1K by March's end. Revenue generally hovered around the $300 mark. Weekly active users showed a significant increase, starting at 938 and reaching 1K.
